Don't look like much, but can tell they've been doing this a long time. Great BBQ and doesn't need any sauce, it stands on its own. Other things on the menu but can't get past the BBQ. Friendly staff also.

Friendly and fast service. BBQ was warm, moist, tender and well sauced from the kitchen. Hush puppies are good too. Lexington style BBQ dip was more vinegary than sweet (which I liked since the bbq slaw was a little sweet to balance it) with a little kick to it. Very good contrast. I would definitely come back.

Excellent basic NC BBQ restaurant. I say this because they have a relatively small menu, basic decorations & standard booths/tables. Not a slight, just my observation. We enjoyed a late lunch on a beautiful Fall Saturday afternoon. The BBQ was moist & full of good pork flavor. It was very clean with no fat or gristle. It had a light flavorful sauce. No discernible smoke flavor. All in all, a very good Q. The sides are much minimal, but good. Crinkle cut fries & onion rings were very good. Great food, good people, I recommend!

The chopped bbq is super moist and tender, the coleslaw is flavorful and delicious and the hushpuppies are the best in town. This place is hands down my favorite bbq in the area. My husband gets the peach cobbler and says that it's the best he's eaten as well. (This coming from a man that worked at a well known bbq restaurant as a teenager.) The parking lot is typically empty but it's because they get a lot of take out and drive through orders. If you do decide to eat in the staff is super nice and take care of you perfectly. I have never had anything bad here.

The Chopped BBQ Sandwich here continues to be a personal favorite, one that I much prefer to Stamey's, which just won a vote for best BBQ Sandwich in North Carolina in a poll conducted by 10Best.com and USAToday. For me it is about the texture of the meat (here they go with a medium chop), and the Red BBQ Slaw, which has the perfect tartness, and blends very well with the meat. In fact, the BBQ slaw is so good here, I even eat it on a hot dog, something I rarely do.

Once in the front door sorta gives you that fast food feel. Sign said to order at the counter till 8 am than take a table.I was here for lunch I wanted Q. Ordered a chopped sandwich, hotdog mustard chili slaw &onions plus a side of hushpuppies. Not much of a smoky taste that I look for when eating BBQ.My sandwich was thick with meat plus their slaw was very tasty. I did ad the extra sauce from the bottle on the the table which had a hint of heat which I liked. The Q sandwich was tender. My hotdog was brown, chili was good,I ordered white slaw on my dog and it was a good mayo based slaw. Hushpuppies where doughnut style, had a good taste. My meal was good. My tea was good.I think my bill was 8-9 bucks not bad. They offered BBQ by the pound several different options. They have a drive-thru if your in a hurry for a biscuit and cup of Joe.I liked it.
